Global church network Hillsong has announced its first Asian outpost – in Bali, Indonesia.

The move was announced following the church’s Vision Weekend, where it encouraged its members to be the one to reach the hurting, broken and lost, citing Acts 1:8.
A Hillsong campus will also be set up in Israel. Other new locations announced include Hillsong Perth, Wollongong, Portugal, and San Francisco.

The church, which started more than 30 years ago in Sydney’s Hills District, is best known for its worship music and global outlook. It currently has campuses across North and South America, Africa, Europe and Australasia.

Hillsong Bali, on the Indonesian island east of Java, will see its first event on Feb 17 – a “Gathering” at Kuta, involving Hillsong Australia Lead Pastor Joel A’Bell. Future Gatherings are also planned for March 3 and 24.
