Come May 17-19, 2019, hundreds of churches are uniting in a historic joint effort to share the Good News for 3 days and 3 nights in the National Stadium for the Celebration of Hope (COH).

In light of the largest gathering since the 1978 Billy Graham Crusades in Singapore, Christians from all walks of life have been coming forth to share their stories of hope. From walking out of the darkness of addiction to experiencing healing from the most impossible of sicknesses – the voices of hope have been rising as the days approach.

And on May 5, 2019, exactly 12 days before the first of 50,000 people stream into the opening rally on May 17, 2019, the FOPx collective is calling the youth of the nation to come together in prayer for the generational moment.

“The history of missions is replete with great leaps forward that took place when people got together to pray … Urgent prayer arising from a desire for all that God wishes makes us receptive to Him and inspires a great leap forward in the history of the Church.” (Ajith Fernando)

Back in 2016, FOPx exploded onto the local youth ministry scene with a conference that gathered over a thousand young people to worship God and intercede for their generation. Just like the committee of youth pastors and leaders, the youth came from all over – churches, denominations and corners of Singapore. And year by year, event after event, they kept coming.

Much in line with the heart they’ve shown for the country and its people, they’re doing it again this weekend – this time to pray for the hundreds of thousands who have been invited to COH.

Prayer is the kind of response needed from a nation that is believing and asking for God’s move and revival.

“We’re tied by the fact that we also love this nation,” shares Isaac Ong, who leads the movement and fronts the FOPx band. “And FOPx is always ready to stand behind and support movements that love our people.

“This scale of intentional evangelism, the unity of churches, non-stop waves of speakers coming in and out of our city is unlike any time in history. What’s happening from the Celebration of Hope to FOPx to many other movements and events are not the work of mere man but God’s hand.

And with that sentiment, a prayer night for COH on the evening of May 5, 2019, was birthed. And as always, all youth and like-hearted are invited to intercede as one.

“Revival is not about one brilliant idea,” Isaac also adds. “We need all hands on deck, those willing to pray, to fast, to seek, to organise, to mobilise and to evangelise regardless of brand, preference or organisation.

“We need churches uniting to contend for the transformation of their land.”

“We will never see great advances in the cause of the gospel without first seeing the church on her knees in prayer before the Lord. Likewise, before the Lord begins to do great work, He sets His people praying.” (Derek Thomas)

And in an invitational message blasted to the thousands of FOPx followers on social media, it reads: “What a privilege to be born at such a time. That God looked at this specific time of Singapore, and decided to make His move with us. You and I.”

“Come alive, Singapore.”
