In the wake of bad news, we fix our eyes on the Good News.

Look around you this Christmas. Who in your life needs to know Jesus? Who can you share God’s love and the Good News with?

Here are some unique and inspiring Christmas programmes organised by churches all across Singapore – with options for both on-site and online.

Plus, we’ve included some ideas for home parties on how you can invite your friends and family and have conversations about Jesus in more intimate settings.

HOME PARTY KITS

The pandemic may have reduced the church’s ability to hold huge events, but it is also given rise to more 1-1 time with our non-Christian friends and family.

A number of churches have created tool kits to guide their members to share the gospel with guests.

Here are 5 for you to be inspired by, so that you can host your own Christmas party!

Woodlands Evangelical Free Church

Resources include a 20-minute video, a how-to guide for hosts and a programme booklet that you can share with guests.

The heart-warming video includes the narration of the Christmas story by a young girl, singing of Christmas carols and sharing of two personal testimonies (one in English and one in Mandarin).

Paya Lebar Methodist Church

Items in this party kit include videos on Christmas carols for a light-hearted atmosphere, a 3-minute testimony and a 10-minute message on the theme of hope.

There are also questions for conversation starters, Christmas-themed ice breakers and a suggested programme fl0w.

Victory Family Centre

Intended to be a complement to their online Christmas Candlelight programme, this is an interesting resource that comes with e-invites, a host guide and an amazing Christmas playlist (both for Spotify and Apple Music).

Covenant Evangelical Free Church

In this digital guide, you’ll find a whole lot of ideas on how to plan a Christmas party, all the way from the basics of hosting to having a spiritual conversation.

Bonus! A Christmas Invitation

In 2020, we put together a Christmas kit for our readers, but this is still very relevant today!

Send out our e-invite to your friends and family and start planning your little gathering. Watch two short videos and use our recommended resources to spark conversations.

The first video features Christmas carols sung by Olivia Ong – the singer of the Little Nyonya theme song – and her siblings. The second video is an intimate look at the life story of actress Felicia Chin.

This Christmas, let’s be intentional about sharing the gift of Jesus with our loved ones. Have fun!
