Do you desire to see a revival in your generation?

Revival” isn’t a new concept to us. We probably would have heard about it in church, and we probably have prayed about it at some point in time.

But have you ever wondered, how exactly can we see a revival happen in our time? The answers are repentance and prayer.

“If my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and I will forgive their sin and will heal their land.” (2 Chronicles 7:14)

This is one of the reasons why LoveSingapore has organised a Youth Prayer & Worship Night. Happening tomorrow at Touch Centre of Faith Community Baptist Church, the event hopes to unite youths across churches and denominations in prayer and worship, and to encounter God together.

Pastor Daniel Khong, Strategic Coordinator of Winning The Youth at LoveSingapore and Senior Pastor of Faith Community Baptist Church shared the heart behind this event: “We believe that God is doing something new in our land. We are seeing a new wave of youth prayer movements and initiatives all across the nation, and LoveSingapore is dedicated to doing our part to keep this momentum going.”

“Our desire is for our youths to build the same connection with Him, to seek His face, to catch His vision, to battle on their knees for their friends, their classmates, and their schoolmates. We want them to experience for themselves the extraordinary wonder of answered prayers from a God who can and who will do what they ask in His name.”

As Oswald Chambers said, “Prayer does not fit us for the greater works; prayer is the greater work.”

“Lord, I have heard of your fame; I stand in awe of your deeds, Lord. Repeat them in our day, in our time make them known;” (Habakkuk 3:2)

In 1940, a young man was found in John Wesley’s bedroom, kneeling on the carpet next to his bed – the exact spot where Wesley had fervently prayed for revival.

He was repeatedly pleading, “Do it again, Lord! Do it again… And would you do it again with me.”

That young man, was Billy Graham. While he was only 22 years old when he made that prayer, he grew up to become the world’s foremost evangelist whose rallies reached hundreds of millions across the world.

In Singapore, he led more than 19,600 lost souls to Christ through the Singapore Billy Graham Crusade in 1978, which impacted the spiritual landscape of our nation in the following decades.

Today, as young as we might be, do we believe that God can bring another revival through our generation? Are we willing to come before God and make such a prayer?

From one generation to the next, the baton has now been passed to us – so let’s not drop it. Let us come together in prayer and worship, to seek the Lord and contend for a revival in our time.

No registration is required for the event, so grab your friend or your cell group and join us for a spirit-filled night tomorrow!
