#HACK is the largest global Christian hackathon dedicated to bringing the Gospel through innovative technological solutions to new people, new places and new spaces. Locally, #HACK is co-organised by Indigitous Singapore and Digital Wesley (A Ministry of Wesley Methodist Church).
The theme for #HACK2025 in Singapore is “New Places and New Spaces”.
“He said to them, “Go into all the world and preach the gospel to all creation.” (Mark 16:15)
The word “world” is translated to kosmos in Greek. This means to the entire world, to different world systems, to societies of different orders, to the heavenly realms and in today’s context, the digital space.

With the support of the Lausanne Movement in the global #HACK initiative, we’re on a mission to use technology to reach the 3 billion people worldwide who haven’t yet encountered God. It’s a divine purpose that guides us to collaborate across churches, denominations and industries.
As Pastor Rick Warren said when he addressed #HACK2022: “Every time the good news is put into a new technological channel, it explodes with growth, and more people come to Christ. We need you!”

Frequently asked questions
Must I have tech or design skills to participate in #HACK?
Generally, it is helpful to have background in creating digital experiences or tools. However, #HACK is open to anyone who sees the potential of digital in God’s work, and over the years we have seen many brothers and sisters without any tech background contribute quite meaningfully in their teams.
I do not have a group coming for the event, can I sign up as a solo participant?
Yes, you can sign up for the event and come as a solo participant. We will try our best to match you to potential teams! However, do note that once you start hacking, every participant must be in a team when participating in this hackathon. You shouldn’t be hacking alone!
Are there food and snacks during the event?
Some meals will be provided during the event as well as light snacks and refreshments. Wesley Methodist is also conveniently situated in town, where there are many food options.
Who owns the IP for the solution that my team created during the event?
The IP developed during the hackathon will be open source. If you wish to continue working on the solution after the event, the IP will belong to those individuals.
Can I continue to work with the challenge owners after the event to continue develop the product?
Yes, you can, and we highly encourage it! If your team wishes to continue working on the solution with the challenge catalyst after the hackathon has ended, you should inform Indigitous Singapore about your intention to facilitate the smooth continuity of the project.
Do I need a laptop for #HACK?
It would be good to have a laptop or tablet to work together with your teams! Wi-fi is provided!
