The Dementia Ministry Conference is a conference about dementia inclusion in the church. The Conference hopes to help every participant be filled with the hope of the gospel, especially in such a ministry that is often associated with illness and suffering.
There two main objectives of this conference are:
Objective 1: To understand dementia from the perspective of faith
Dementia is often merely understood biomedically. This conference aims to introduce participants to the biblical and theological perspectives around health and suffering, to expand one’s understanding of dementia to be grounded in gospel hope.
Objective 2: To generate desire to be a hopeful community of faith
This conference also aims to showcase real-life examples of local churches and ministries that have remembered and included those with dementia as well as their caregivers, channelling hope as a community of faith.
