Today is the official day and three-year mark of being a pastor in Soakability Church!
Prior to this, I was based in Redding, California for five years before moving back to Singapore.
If you want to build God’s kingdom, go build people.
Today, I’ve got the absolute honour to pastor a church that is hungry for the presence of God and passion to grow in the supernatural. Thank you Soakability!
To commemorate this day, I’ll share some of the things that I have learnt and encourage others who are called to the Church as well.
So for this post, I will just share three since it has been three years of pastoral work.
1. Freely share your knowledge and equip others in what you are good at
If you want to build God’s kingdom, go build people.
Freely you receive, freely you give. There’s no need to be hoarding your revelations.
God’s kingdom is a family of believers that shares — there are no trade secrets.
Teach, demonstrate and equip. That’s what Jesus did with His disciples.
That’s why I am so passionate to teach the next generation to move in the supernatural. Make sure you are passing on your mantle and anointing!
2. There is no sermon that can make everyone happy
Everyone has their own opinions. Remember, you are called to preach the Gospel.
This means speaking truth to set people free and calling them to live a life like Jesus. You are not on stage to entertain a crowd.
My preaching has greatly shifted to focus on what the Lord wants me to speak, instead of just getting a good message out.
Preach what people need to hear and not what they want to hear. Preach what you are walking in. Preach what you are convicted of. Preach for the audience of one!
3. Know your unique calling and run your own race
Your journey is different from others.
Don’t let others define who you are because that’s God’s job. Don’t spend time proving what you are called to. Let your fruits do all the talking.
I am a pastor in church but my office is a prophet. Yet I know that my greatest calling in life is to be a father to father the next generation.
I work as a pastor, function as a prophet and I invest in the next generation.
Remember, your destiny is unique! Keep saying yes to God! Time will reveal all He has for you!
