Therefore the Lord himself will give you a sign: The virgin will conceive and give birth to a son, and will call him Immanuel.
It was a miracle indeed!
Some 700 years later, Isaiah’s prophecy was fulfilled through the supernatural conception and birth of Jesus.
But that’s not all. Matthew 1:23 also points out that Immanuel means “God with us”.
On that very first Christmas, it was God who first came near to man, bringing His presence to us. God desires to be with His people, to reveal Himself.
